The Cooler Classic Thanksgiving Showcase gives our young players an opportunity to see where their hockey journey can take them.  From the finest College Preparatory programs to Club and Junior level play, learn what hockey has to offer beyond the rink and into the classroom. 

The 2008 Hockey Scholars Academic Expo offers players and parents an opportunity to meet with and ask questions of these student players about life on campus, academic rigor and the pressures of competitive play.  Prep programs such as Cushing Academy and club programs such as the University of Georgia Ice Dogs will also have information about their programs and program requirements.   Special guest speakers will also include representatives from the NCAA Clearing house and our own Atlanta Thrashers.

The Atlanta Freedom Cup is the first annual invitational Peewee Hockey Festival, held from January 16th to the 19th (MLK Weekend). The 950$ tournament fee will include a Thrashers ticket voucher and access to discounted tickets for the Thrashers game, the Aquarium and more. The tournament has a 4-game guarantee and will host Peewee teams in the AA, A, and B divisions.  The Atlanta Thrashers will also be hosting a Skills Competition for all participating teams at Philips Arena before the Leafs game on Friday, January 16th.
